Moving from Chatbots to Autonomous Agents
2024 and 2025 were the years of the “Chatbot.” However, the current shift is toward Agentic AI. Unlike a standard LLM that simply answers a prompt, an AI Agent can execute multi-step tasks—booking flights, managing supply chains, or writing and deploying code—autonomously.
The challenge for developers now lies in “guardrailing.” As we give AI the agency to act on our behalf, the focus shifts from “how well can it talk?” to “how safely can it perform?”
